    Safe mode boot option gone.

    Hello.

A few weeks ago i used the tutorial on how to have a Safe Boot option button at startup. Everything was OK up to a few days ago. Now the option is gone and i boot directly to the Start screen as before. Why is it gone? I remember i ran CCleaner registry cleaner option sometimes before. Could that be the culprit? If so, what would be the registry entry to keep?
    Thanks.

    Hello Kalisto,

Not sure what you did that deleted the boot entry. I suppose that CCleaner may have deleted some registry entry that deleted the boot entry. Luckily, you can always add it back.

    You can always use

Startup Options Menu Shortcut - Create in Windows 8

    Winkey+R and then type
    shutdown /r /o

    Hello Rich,

What Aiko posted is the first step to be able to use OPTION TWO in the tutorial below to get to Safe Mode.

That is about as convoluted as you can get! It works, but yoiks what a cludge. It also won't work if Windows 8 won't boot, right?

Much easier using the setup you provided to add Boot to safe mode to the boot selection menu.
