Diskkeeper is just too expensive for my WHS 2011 server, so I don't defrag those drives (5 x 2TB) at all...

Is the built-in defrag in windows 8 good enough? I personally liked ultimatedefrag but I didn't install it to avoid any harm to the operating system.
The built in defragmenter works best.
When you right-click to defrag it will say "optimize" and that is the defrag button.

    Defraggler is fully compatible.

I prefer diskeeper because of the i-FAAST technology. It will move all your less frequently accessed data to back of the drive and move the frequently accessed data to the front of the drive to give you an additional performance benefit. Also it will create an empty contiguous space just after your frequently used apps. Instead of getting that free space at the end of the drive as you would with all the other defragging tools, you'll get one towards the speedy part of the drive so that the new files get a temporary performance boost until i-FAAST determines that they are less frequently accessed and moved towards the end of the drive.

    Just my 2 cents.

I would try DiskKeeper, but it's just too much $$$.
