Okay, this computer ran Windows 7 Ultimate x86 fine, so I decided to clean install Windows 8 Release Preview. Installed fine, and when it booted into Windows, I installed the driver for the WiFi adapter, a Netgear WNA1100. It installs the driver fine, and I start to select my WiFi network. I enter the password, start connecting, and then I get a blue screen with a frowny face saying, Windows Ran Into A Problem and Needs to restart, blah blah blah.... it gets the error IRQL_UNEXPECTED_VALUE. I think, OK, just a one time thing, and I restart, and try to connect again. Same thing. I reset my WiFi adapter, and connected to a different WiFi connection, same thing. So, I decide, instead of just installing the standalone driver, and using Windows default WiFi connector, I'll use the one that comes with the DVD, Netgear Genie. When I connect from there, same thing. So, I'm at a loss of what to do. The computer is a Compaq Presario SR1675CL.
