Hello everyone, I've just installed Windows 8 Release Preview and am running into a problem. Somehow, the pictures app was able to access my pictures folder on my main computer, running Windows 7 Professional. I've found no option to remove the shared folder on my Windows 8 system. I unshared the pictures folder on Windows 7 but the pictures are still flipping through the "metro" interface on my Windows 8 screen, some of which are pictures I rather not show. ie. one folder contains hundreds of mugshots of people in my organization who have died. Any tips would be greatly appreciated... Thanks! -G

Right click the Photos app, and in the bar on the bottom of the screen click the button "Turn Live Tile Off".

Thank you for the suggestion Dellius. That is what I did. I have other pictures that I would like to cycle through in the main windows screen so if I do this, it turns the cycling off for those pictures. Too bad I'm not able to limit what is shown like remove galleries that I would not like to show. I don't see an option for that.
