Solved My D/L speeds are 1/3 what they were under W7.

Running W8 Pro X64 gotten from Technet.

My speeds under W7 were 120/15. Now under W8 they are 35/15. I tried all types of speed tests and they all agree on 35. I've done online speedtests, file transers, usenet downloads, etc.

I also notice some new parameters on W8:

Any suggestions to get back to 120/35?

Just ran speedtests on my W7 laptop and they were the same as W8. Next step is to bypass my router. If that doesn't narrow it down then I'll need to contact my ISP. Something is amiss.

Restarted my cable modem and all is well again. I always think of this to late.
