Creating Home Network.

I wonder if any body can help me, I am trying to buy the hardware for creating a network at home, I have ATT as a providers and I have four computers running. I am open for subjections on what to buy and how to setup.

Welcome to the forum. If your running a router and all the pc connect to it you have a network nothing else needed. What do you want to do with the network

I like to have control over all the other computers, including trouble shooting them via remote, also I need to check the history of what the kids are watching. Do I need to buy a network switch ?

What do you mean by control of other PC's? If everyone connect to the internet via a router you don't need any other hardware you can use remote desktop built into Windows to remote to other PC's. To view history you need to login as the kids it's hard to do it another way. You could set up a free proxy server with that you could see what's being used on the net in real time with logs
