My wifi driver changes names and ruins everything

Hi,

I am using a Jensen 100ac USB wifi dongle. When I install the drivers for it, the driver Jensen Air:Link 100ac wireless Dualband USB2.0 Adapter gets installed. During the installation (if I keep an eye on device manager) I can see the name "RTL8811au wireless lan 802.11ac usb 2.0 network adapter" popping up now and then, but eventually it disappears and I'm left with the Jensen driver.

All is good, I test my network and get great speeds! But after a while (a few seconds to a few minutes), the driver disappears and gets replaced with "RTL8811au wireless lan 802.11ac usb 2.0 network adapter". Now my speeds are absolutely horrible! 1/10th of what they were with the Jensen driver.

I tried uninstalling the RTL driver, even removing the software entirely, but it seems like it's baked in with the Jensen driver. Is there any way I can disable this disastrous change?

UPDATE: I just noticed that before connecting to my router, the driver was listed as the Jensen one. As soon as I got online, it changed! So it seems like it auto-updates as soon as I actually connect to the internet. Although it didn't update instantly before, it did just now. Weird.
