    Wi-Fi not working

Hey, awhile ago I downloaded the Consumer Preview but then I decided I didn't really like it and wanted to go back to windows 7. But I didn't know about it overwriting Windows 7. I also didn't know about .iso? and dual-booting. So I restored my system to factory settings, but Windows 8 didn't go away. But now my wi-fi wasn't working. So since then I have been using my computer on a network with a ethernet cable plugged in. But I was wondering if there is a way I can get my wi-fi back and how to get out of the network mode. And it would be even better if I could get my windows 7 back all together?

I know some stuff in here isn't specifically about the wi-fi, but the thread is mainly about it and I just though I'd also ask about going back to windows 7.

I have a HP 2000-140CA, by the way.

What procedure did you use to do the factory restore? It sounds like you did the Windows 8 Refresh option instead? If you have a set of factory restore disks I would use them. The built in factory restore partition may not be accessible as a boot option anymore as Windows 8 overwrote your boot sector.
To get the WIFI working you will likely have to download and install a driver for it. What does device manager show for a status of your WIFI adapter?

For this issue, the best option is to reinstall the driver using the Compatibility Mode.

The problem whit the restoration appears because Windows 8 makes a modification into the system structure, the only way to fix it reinstalling windows 7.

Ive posted a troubleshooting for this kind of errors here.

    Good Luck
