Win8 Drive Mappings

Anyone experiencing problems with mapping drives via group policy preferences? I've been doing some testing and the drives just wont appear on my W8 pc. W7 machines seems to get their drives mapped as should.

The event viewer just tells me:
The Group Policy settings for the user were processed successfully. New settings from 3 Group Policy objects were detected and applied.

The policy seems to come trough, I'm using "replace" in gpp. It actually removes the manually mapped drives, but wont map the new ones. Tested also without firewall, no effect.
