Dependency service or group failed to start error

Two days ago, I had to configure my PC to my college domain so as to access the on-campus network access. The configuration was successful but on opening network and sharing center, I find "Dependency service or group failed to start" error message in place of the connected network name. Oddly, this error is not interfering with my internet connection whether on-campus or off-campus. Now, if I had to manually enter an IP address, I have to go all the way through "Change adapter settings option" and select properties from my WiFi name. I could not find any fix to the issue. Please help.
    Regards

Just found out the solution from a YouTube video after a week of searching. The solution is simple.

Open Start. Type 'msconfig' and hit enter. Select 'Normal Startup' as the startup selection option and restart the PC.
I guess Normal startup force loads all drivers and services which solved my problem.

    It's about reading..

This of course may not work for you but

To solve the problem of network connection when there is this notification Network unknown: The dependency service or group failed to start
click start->type cmd in Search Box->Right click and select Run as Administrator to open command lineinterface
    Then enter the first command
    net localgroup Administrators /add networkservice
    Press enter
    2. net localgroup Administrators /add localservice
    Press enter
    Then restart your computer.
This will fix the problem of Network Connection from Windows Vista/win7 and windows 8

The idea behind is that when you encounter this problem, it means these service are not granted to Administrator Group; which is difficult to understand.

Some people mention about a virus.. Have you done anything like new downloads or installed or run not so legit programs??

You can also go to device manager and go to "network cards adapter.."

(I'm not in front of my computer)

And uninstall the wifi card and restart and windows is supposed to reinstall it when you restart and should put the services back..

Well you neglected to mention you changed services or startup config or had disabled anything.. so....

But you appear to be good now..

Of course now you need to look at what is starting since you enabled everything..

Well actually the change was most probably made by the IT guy of my institution when he connected my pc to the institution's domain. I did pointed out this issue to him as soon as I got my device back but he shook me off excusing that he is too busy and the error is not interfering to network connectivity anyway (so unprofessional of him). I decided to find the solution myself not knowing that there can be many reasons for this error to occur.

well I'm glad you got it fixed.. so that's good..

but that's a serious POINT you neglected to mention by the way.. an IT tech guy changed things on your computer.. think about that. ha..

then you come here and say something doesn't work, - help.. ha!

but it's fixed good to go!
