Solved How to share files between users?

Hi,

I expected to find a question like this (and an answer) on this forum. I didn't find it, nor the answer, so I'll post the question myself. Sorry if I overlooked a similar question...

I have two user account on my computer; one for myself and my wife (this is an administrator account) and one account for the kids (which hasn't administrator rights.) I'm trying to share some files between those two accounts but the files from my account won't show up at the kids account.

I thought rightclick on the file, share with, kids account would do the trick but it doesn't. I've changed priviledges (right click, properties. under the security tab) to full but that didn't change anything either.
When I rightclick, chose share with specific persons. A window pops up that tells me I'm the owner of the files and the kids have right to read it. (which they can't because the files won't show up in their account.)

Obviously I'm doing something wrong but don't know what. Can anyone help?

I'm on windows 8.1. Both accounts are password protected; I'm unwilling to lose the passwords, also I feel that shouldn't be necessary. I don't want to user cloud services; as the files are on the same computer I feel that shouldn't be necessary as well.
All files I want to share are in the documents folder. I can't find any public folder, but I feel the sharing should be possible without it.

Help anyone?

One easy way to do it would be to create a folder outside of the user's documents structure, call it something like Shared Documents or whatever you prefer. As long as it's not located within the User folder hierarchy all users should have access to it.

@Strollin: I moved the files to a "shared folder" and that worked perfectly. So thanks a lot.
I didn't know it isn't possible to share files from the documents folders.

@broe23: thanks for the reply but please read the last sentence right before "Help anyone?"
