WiFi problems? but connects to my mobile?

Hey Guys I'm having a bit of a problem and wondered IG you could help, I recently upgraded my laptop to windows 10 but realised that my wifi wouldn't work properly but was fine before but it would connect to my mobile data and I tried multiple WiFi connections that I knew should work but didnt it kept saying cannot connect to the network so I started doing troubleshooting and it said i was getting the same problem then I tried updating the driver and it was updated to its latest but Ethernet works only thing I could think of is that the wireless card has died? But then I can't understand why my mobile data would connect fine if any of you guys could help that would be great as I'm completely confused

Are you trying to connect through a wireless router? If so the problem could be there.

Is the WiFi software switch turned on, do you also have a hard switch? Does the adapter show up in Device Manager and does it show that it is working?

OK, go through these steps, if still doesn't work I'm running out of ideas short of a fresh install.

Navigate to the desktop. (From Home, tap or click the Desktop tile).
Right-click the Start button (the Windows logo in the lower-left).
    Choose Command Prompt (Admin).
When asked whether to allow Command Prompt to make changes to your computer, selectYes.
Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press Enter.
Type "ipconfig /registerdns" and press Enter.
Type "ipconfig /release" and press Enter.
Type "ipconfig /renew" and press Enter.
Type "netsh winsock reset" and press Enter.
    Restart the computer.

EDIT: Have you tried adding the network manually in Network and Sharing Center?

Right I did that and for the bottom two it said no operation can be performed on local area connection* 11 while it has its media disconnected but I restarted it and then I got BSOD which said page fault in nonpaged area

About all I have left is uninstall the adapter in Device Manager and reboot. I've seen other posts here where people have entirely lost WiFi connection under similar scenarios. Afraid all you may have left is a clean install unless someone else jumps in with suggestions. Have you posted on the 10 forum?
