Cannot update Antvirus and Windows update failure

Hi guys, I've been having this problem the last few days where I am unable to update my trend micro antivirus. Every time i try to update i receive a message saying "could not connect to the server, please check your internet connection"" despite having full internet access. I have also been having problems with windows update, where updates continuously fail whenever i try to update them. Additionally i noticed that while browsing the internet my connection occasionally timed out, so i pinged a large website like goal.com on cmd and saw that the connection timed out. I ran a full antivirus scan using the trend micro and the kaspersky tool (KVRT.exe) and found no threats to be detected. I also tried using malwarebytes to scan the computer but when i installed it it required to update its databases before scanning and hence that update also timed out. I tried flushing the dns and and resetting the ip using netsh as well as other past solutions found on here to no avail. Your help and time would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Have you tried running, in admin cmd prompts-

sfc /scannow

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

& finally sfc /scannow again ?

& restarting after all the scans are done ?

Yes i tried the sfc scannow and at the end of it said there were problems that could not be fixed and i have not yet tried the Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth but i tried the Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth to which the response was something like could not connect to network. Should i try the restore health version now?

Yes-Try dism. :)

Post your sfc cbs log too.
Attach it.

It seems there is a driver issue.

screenshot_298.jpg

The .json file errors can be ignored.
If dism works for you it should fix the driver issue.
Remember to run sfc /scannow after dism is finished.

Someone here may tell you how to get it to work from an install.wim.

Good luck. :)

Hi, yes i have checked troubleshooting options with my network connections all good whereas in windows update they say they have resolved some problems:
Troubleshoot.png
but when i update again the same error 80072ee2 comes up. Also i called up trend micro and the updating problem was fixed by unchecking one of the proxy options so its all good on the antivirus front but windows updates still has problems

Maybe Start Windows Modules Installer before trying Windows Update ?

Maybe try installing Windows Updates one at a time ?

Good to hear it is working. :)

A while back Comcast told me to reset my modem every once in a while because they make changes to how it operates.
I reset it the other day & lost my connection.
I used Troubleshooter for my internet connection & it said it had an invalid IP address & it changed things & fixed it. :)

I've noticed too, sometimes, just restarting or unplugging everything & restarting helps to solve minor bugs.
