Wifi keeps shutting off every few minutes

I have a few year old Lenovo Ideapad Z710, Every few minutes the wifi shuts off and shows the red x, no networks detected before giving me the option to reconnect to my network again. I've never had any problems like this before and it is making the laptop very hard to use. Any help would be appreciated! Also Ethernet works as it should without a problem

Things I've tried: updating drivers
setting the computer to not turn off the adapter to save battery
restarting disabling and deleting the driver then reinstalling it
turning the adapter to maximum performance
Ran ipconfig /all here are the screenshots for that: When Connected: Screenshot by Lightshot When the disconnect Happens: Screenshot by Lightshot

Other Screenshots: Screenshot by Lightshot when it's connected Screenshot by Lightshot when it cuts out Screenshot by Lightshot when it comes back up after I reconnect

the second screenshot does not show the red x, it shows that there are networks available, it does this typically a second or 2 after the red x is there

If it is old, most likely the adapter is failing.
