Cursor not visible during remote connection session

I use Absolute Manage software to connect to devices on our domain for remote management. Recently, we purchased a few Windows 8.1 with Bing systems that will be connected to monitors to use as signage. These little machines only have a power and display cord attached; no mouse, keyboard, or speakers. I have noticed that when I remote into one of these systems, I can NOT see the mouse. The mouse still functions as I can see icons highlighting and I can click on them. If I plug a mouse into the host machine the cursor appears and will stay on even after unplugging the mouse. If the mouse is plugged in when the remote session is initiated there is no problem. However, since these machines will never have end users and will be attached to television sets, leaving a mouse connected to them is not a desirable solution.

After doing some research, I turned off EnableCursorSuppression in the registry which did not help. Others have suggested that win8.1 uses touch input if no mouse is detected, but i have no touch-enabled devices attached that I can disable.

Anyone know of a solution to this? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

That is how it is supposed to work. Stop messing with the registry. The setting for showing cursor is in the config menu for the software you are using.

Also check mouse properties to show cursor all the time on the units you are using on the tv's.

That would be the touch screen/monitor if it has the capability. Mine attaches to the computer via the normal VGA or DVI cable plus a USB cable. The USB connection is required for sending the touch command to the computer.

If I go to Control Panel>Mouse and click on the Hardware tab it shows nothing, which is expected since there is no mouse currently connected. However, if I make a change to the mouse settings and click the apply button there is a blue spinning circle (kinda like the icon when something is processing or updating) that appears as my cursor and moves wherever i move the mouse. This is better than no cursor at all, but seems like a pain to go thru every time we need to update one of these machines.

What is the make, model name and model number of the computers? Some nagging thing suggests the computers may use a Bluetooth mouse.

My System Specs currently shows the system in question.
    Make: Quantum
    Model: Byte
    OS: Windows 8.1 with Bing
    CPU: Atom Baytrail Z3735

I know the unit has bluetooth capabilities but no bluetooth devices have been paired to it. Currently there is no monitor either. It's just plugged into power and connected via WiFi so that I can get it configured for deployment.

I looked through the Absolute Manage software settings and found nothing about a mouse or cursor. It is setup for Control capabilities and not just Monitor mode. I'm pretty new to the software though and the resident "expert" won't be back til Monday to ask if they know of any such setting. However, I don't think the issue is with this software.

I've played around with all the mouse settings in the Control Panel and none of them seem to help. I didn't see anything that I could check/activate to show cursor all the time.

For some odd reason I figured the mention of a 32GB eMMC drive and the Atom CPU suggested a Tablet, like mine. I have seen Desktops on a Network that were running with remote access and the BIOS settings for the mouse and keyboard were Disabled, prevented the System Halt message when the keyboard wasn't found when remotely rebooting them.

I've looked into that, too. The system can reboot with no trouble, except the mouse cursor still doesn't show. So far I have only setup two of these machines to play around with and they both do the same thing. So I don't think it's a hardware problem with the machine itself. Unless you count the lack of a mouse physically plugged into it lol.
