How to share local workgroup with VM on a domain?

Not sure how to ask, but I will try. For fun I have set up 2 VMs in virtualbox. One has sharepoint 2013 on server 2012r2 and the other is server 2012 as the DC. They are on a domain I Created when installing sharepoint. Is there a way to, when I "browse" for something, that I can get into my home network on my local account? The VMs are on a separate drive that I installed in the extra bay, not on the HD with my MS OS.

How can I share in between them? My user folder on my pc is set to be shared, and I included "everyone" which is only me lol.
Or, can I connect to the the domain that my vms are running on? If so would that mean that I would always need the vms running so I can actually be on the domain?

Your in the right section. It's been a long while since I worked on a Domain. But I'm pretty sure 1. your window 8 needs to be pro to log onto a domain! Your work group would need to be set up on your domain? This is where I don't know or remember but it seems it would be easiest to just log on to your Domain when you need domain access? Sorry I'm not much help someone will come along that knows for sure.

I have 8.1 pro.

I suppose I could log on to the domain if I need access, but I generally need access to the workgroup while I am already on the domain. My SharePoint is hosted on a VM, on a domain. My main pc is not. I am trying to get things from my non-domain pc onto the domain sharepoint server. I just cannot "browse" and find my local network while logged into the domain, I only have options to browse for things on the domain. Hope that made sense
