I am using windows 8 on an Asus laptop. The wireless wasnt working so I thought I would disable then enable to fix it. After I disabled, the wifi icon and option disappeared from everywhere. Not on the taskbar, network and systems, settings, charms bar...no where. I've tried everything I could find online. My phone pucks up the wifi, so that's not the problem. I tried to reset the system but couldn't without deleting everything. I'm at a loss. Thank you

Connect your laptop to router with Ethernet cable and download the driver for your wireless card, then try network connections.

Yeah, that didn't work. Thank you tho. I ended up turning on and off airplane mode and it finally worked. The weird part is nothing happened when I did this with the airplane mode setting, but it did work when I used the function f5 key
