I lost my Wi-Fi connection and audio at the same time. Just now as I tried to open Word to get information on a message I continued to receive about System 86, I discovered that my Microsoft Office Professional 2010 cannot verify the license for this application and repair attempt failed. My Dell computer is just a few months old. I am using antivirus programs from McAfee and Avira. Help!

First why two AV programs? I would uninstall both and let Windows revert to Defender. Then we can see how your system is behaving after that.

Welcome to the forum!

I uninstalled three antivirus programs: Avira, McAfee, and Malwarebytes. I am unable to restore or repair. I should say that for several days before the crash I received a message upon lagging on that said "Windows cannot find C:[backslash] Program Files (x86) user extentions [backslash] client. exe."

When I try to restore I get this message: "The Volume Shadow Copy service used by System Restore is not working." I also get a message that "Event log service is unavailable."

Also, I have a message at the bottom right telling me I need to turn on Windows Security Center Service. I try to go to Action Center to do this but I get this message: "Windows Security Center Service can't be started."

And there is more. When I try to open Word, I get this message: Microsoft Office 2010 cannot verify license for this product. You should repair Office Program using Control Panel." But I cannot do that.

I really appreciate very much anything help you can provide. Thanks!

I don't know but really sounds like your system is a mess, don't know if you got a virus, malware, hard drive problems or what.
Can do a sfc /scannow and may have to try a repair install. No image backup from before this started?

I tried the sfs /scannow but I could not execute because I cannot connect to the Internet. I have the Dell Drivers & Documentation disk--should I run this and reinstall, or might this cause more problems?

Thanks for working with me on this.
