How Do I Disable OneDrive for Some Networks?

How do I get OneDrive to access a specific network only and ignore other networks? The reason I ask this is because sometimes I use an unsecured public network and I dont want my files to be uploaded through it where others can access them.

Set your firewall to not allow file & printer sharing when connected to Public/Unsafe networks. The only way someone would gain access to your OneDrive Cloud storage space, is if you gave them the username & password for it, so they can get in at https://onedrive.live.com/about/en-us/

But at times I need to use public networks since theyre free. Do you have another suggestion considering this?

Again you have to set your Firewall to not allow File & Printer sharing, when on public networks. What were you expecting? There is a reason why Windows comes with a software firewall.

So what will disabling File and Print Sharing do? Will it allow me to surf the net but prevent files from being sent either from me or to me?

It doesn't allow people to connect to your hard drive on the laptop. Has nothing to do with surfing the web or sending files. You need to read up on what a firewall does. Think of it in the same sense why locks are on doors and windows. They are there to keep the honest people out. That is what a Firewall does.

Open up help on your computer, and do a search for "firewall".

When I disabled File and Printing Sharing on one of the networks through the Network and Sharing in Control panel, I lost connection. It was only after I enabled it that i was able to connect again on that network.

Also, i couldnt find File and Printing Sharing in Windows Firewall. Its not there.
