Ok so I am fairly new to YouTube and I make content fairly a lot but. It takes 1 hour to record the gameplay, about 4 hours to edit + render (The editing takes along time) and then for some stupid reason due to internet connection it takes about 24 hours to upload a video to YouTube (I make videos about 8 mins long, if not I put them into different parts). So it takes to about 2PM to edit it and I upload it to YouTube it takes 24 Hours. When I go to sleep it really annoys me when I try and sleep and I could use my laptop to record even more videos the next day. So I thought of purchasing a really old computer (I still would run the latest version of Windows) that I would connect via Ethernet and upload it via a secondary machine. So my only problem is now how do I transfer a file about 7Gb from my laptop directly to a HDD (Not C:/) to a secondary PC?
---Laptop Specs---
8GB DDR3 Ram
AMD A10 (I am not to sure of the model number)
1Tb HardDrive (With a Recovery and 50GB Partition)
DTS Sound+ (No idea why I needed to include this)
And A very un-reliable Wi-Fi card that picks up internet at 60Mbps Down/Up but seems to only receives 1Mbps when downloading and 0.2Mbps when uploading
---Secondary PC Specs--- (The main purpose of this is to just upload videos to YouTube)
4Gb DDR2 Ram
Intel Xeon (Again I am not sure of the model number)
80Gb HardDrive (I will eep the Windows files on there but my upgrade to an SSD
160Gb x 3 HardDrives (I have so many of them)
Intel Gigabit PRO 1000Ct PCIe Network Card
The same internet
Now I did I speed test from KC Communications to 6a Hosting Service in Shefield and I got Aprox 6.3Mpbs with a 33ms ping.
