So I'm having some networking issues and I believe they are probably related.
(note: Win 8.1 Pro x64 - brand new format & fresh install from disc, system updates have run their course)
A Wifi printer (Canon MG7120)- even though I have definitely connected it through the on-screen display on the printer, is not found by a computer running the driver setup using the detect printer function (I have done this before just fine, note: different os install, different router).
Additionally - a wifi Camera (Motorola FOCUS66)even though connected to the router (Verizon Fios Quantum Gateway), and visible from remote connections, cannot be connected to locally.
It seems like these 2 problems probably stem from the same cause, probably either a firewall or router setting. I'm guessing router? Or else Windows Networking settings? Any ideas?
I have tried turning the firewall completely off and that does no good. Also, the computer is not directly involved in the Camera b/c I am accessing it from my ipad.
