yes, that thing is what showed up out of no wear. it is not in the list in the control panel so I cannot delete it. I did the

search this pc thing and several things showed up. so, is there anyway to get rid of this thing?

The "Homegroup"?

I'm not sure what the issue is but maybe there are some tutorials here that maybe able to help?

when I open my this pc, there it is. I want it gone because this is the only computer here and will only be 1 and I and even know where it came (homegroup) from

not working. do I need to create a home group in order to get rid if it. it is still in the middle if that list on the left of that screen shot. want that gone to.

Brink, thank you for the advice! I did try that already. When I stopped HomeGroup Listener for the first time, it didn't start on its own, but Provider does so, continuously.

nothing is working. it wants me to make a homegroup to leave it. but it also says I need computers to plug it into first. I've followed every thing to the letter, but could only go so far, then got stuck. what I need is for someone I can trust take control of this thing and do what needs to

ok, what about deleting the files that show up when I go into "this PC" and then "search results for this PC". except when I tried to do 1 already
it said I needed administrator permission to do that. but I thought I was the administrator since no body uses this PC but me.
