Solved Weird Broadband Speeds!!!

I did an Ookla Broadband test on both my laptop & my pc tablet. Why would the reading be 65Mbps for my laptop & only 32Mbps for my tablet? All assistance appreciated! Thanks.

I have experienced different speeds if I run the test multiple times or choose different servers.

Did you run the test on both from the same server at about the same time of day.
I notice different times will produce different results.

Online data traffic volume is changing constantly and it affects your readings; that's why you get different speeds minute by minute. It's just a rough guide.

Wifi can always resort in wonky speed test results. On my laptop, I get the same results for wifi as I do for wired. For our tablets & iPhones, the speeds are always going to be lower than a laptop or desktop. It is mostly because they are using a less powerful chipset to conserve battery power on those devices, or using power saving schemes which are embedded in the OS.
