    netsh issue

I'm running windows 8.1. I'm using netsh hostednetwork to allow my Android to pick up wifi. after a period of time, I can no longer access the net. Everything seems to be the same windows-wise, nothing changed that I can tell, so I'm not sure if this is a windows or Android issue. Droid still shows it's connected, that's the weird part. Any ideas where to go from this?

Do you know if it happens only with the wifi connection to this hotspot or does it happen when your Android phone is connected to other hotspots as well?

I would check the configuration of your wifi adapter in your computer to see that the option to allow the computer to power down the adapter is not enabled:

You also might try some of the free hotspot creation software packages such as Virtual Router or Connectify to see if they work any better.

Just this one. config is fine. It doesn't turn off or anything. It just quits having net access. Like receiving end just dies.
I've tried software but it does same thing or auto disabled my wifi adapter for some reason after five or ten mins. It's weird.

Did you change your computer power settings, to not place it into hibernate or sleep mode?

Was already set not to. I'm beginning to wonder if it's an Android issue. heh

Could be the Android. Check the Settings for it.
