I'm not sure why...but It is only on my desktop. What could be going on? Any help is appreciated. if you need any more information, just ask :)

Is the USB wifi on the back or front of the desktop? What is the mfg & model of the gateway/router? What does netsh wlan show all in the command window show for signal quality.

Your SSID that you are connected to, does not even show up in that list. The big thing is that there is a lot of congestion on Channel 1. Try moving it to channel 5 with 9 as the secondary channel, 40mhz Channel, so that you get Wireless-N output from the gateway.

Ok, so I did that, and it still cuts in and out.

Then it is an issue with the Gateway/Router.

You can see that between various machines on wifi, but still have a bad gateway. You could try a different USB Wifi adapter on the desktop, or just hook it up to Ethernet, since a desktop is not really going to be moved around. If you cannot run Ethernet, but have a Coax connection where the desktop is. You can use MoCa adapters. If no Coax, you can use Ethernet over Powerline adapters.

I'll look into that. I have no money for that right now.

Powerline Network Adapter worked for me. Thank you for your help.
