Windows 8.1 - Can't connect to the network.

Hi, up until recently the network has been fine. Now whenever I try and connect to this wireless network I get "Can't connect to this network". I tried forgetting the network, and reconnecting, and now all that happens is it asks me for the WEP key before telling me the same error. Because I can no longer connect, I cannot access any settings for the network, nor forget it again. I do not have access to the router to restart it. I have tried updating/uninstalling/reinstalling wireless card drivers.

    Any ideas?

    Regards

How can I restore the wireless profile when I never created a backup?

I suggested option two as windows might have remembered it.

Well it might, but this command requires a specific file path, and I have no idea what it would be.

    Enter this in command prompt

    Code:
    netsh wlan show profiles

The only profile in there is of the mobile hotspot I'm currently connected to.

Okay, I will keep looking for a way to help. Also try unplugging your router for about thirty seconds, then plug it back.

As I stated in my original post, I have no access to the router, but thanks anyway

What router do you have? Resetting it to factory defaults may help.

    Edit

I see you marked this as solved, can you post what you did to resolve it.
