    Unidentified Network, Limited?!

The title says it all, I'm completely lost. And yes I am online at the moment because I'm on wifi, but there are certain programs I can't load without my wired connection, for some weird, unknown reason.

Am I supposed to post my Windows IP Configuration information here? Is it safe? Sorry I'm quite the caveman with this, but I hope I am able to obtain my much required assistance.

What is the mfg and model of the gateway and/or router? Who is your ISP? Is there an SSID associated to your WIFI, when you go to connect to it?

I'm actually connected to the University Wifi at the moment, should I post the configuration details here?

Suggest you speak with the IT LAN manager at this point, about the issue.

That may not fix it, since it is a University LAN. They may be using some type of Captive Portal, or MAC ID to IP scheme.
