how to enter "domain" in windows 8

hi guys
i have windows 8
in the instruction of my university vpn . they said i should enter UCSTAFF in domain(look at the step 7 in this instruction) but this instruction is for windows 7 and i could not find any way to enter domain in windows 8.

It works the same way in 8 as it did in 7. Easier to do it from the Desktop mode, than a Metro app.

You cannot connect to the domain directly, unless you are on it, have Windows 8 pro, and your machine info has been entered in the AD.

As for the VPN connection, it is is in the same place it was in 7 like I stated. You have to do it from the Desktop, then follow the directions as stated in the pdf.

i do it from desktop but could not find the step 7.all the steps are the same but not 7

The only way you will learn to do stuff, is by going out and doing a search engine search. I just found the info, by using "connect to a vpn in windows 8", which got me this page Windows 8 How-To: Set Up VPN Connection | Next of Windows Again, nothing really has changed from Windows 8 to previous versions of Windows.

Again, you do not do it from the Metro app. Follow the instructions in the link that I posted. It can still be done from Control Panel in Desktop mode, as was the case with XP, Vista & 7.
