The keyboard of my laptop was broken so I cannot use "Fn" key to switch on the laptop's wifi adapter.
I am sure airplane mode has turn off my wifi because there is no light.
I tried to use "fn" of osk but that didn't help..
The last time also happened to me last year, but that time my keyboard still functioning so I able to solve that problem.
But now my keyboard not working, is there any shortcut/application/bat/vbs method to turn on without using keyboard?

@Brink /admin I need to private message you but I cannot see the "PM button" at your profile.
Can you send a private message to me or add my skype (decomodo90) ?

Hello Decomodo, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Turning on Airplane Mode would indeed also include turning off WiFi.

If you like, the shortcut below may help make it easier for you to turn on/off Airplane Mode.

In addition:

Hope this helps, :)

The shortcuts only simulate the keystrokes to turn it off/on like in the screenshots.

Do you have Airplane Mode turned off?

What is the brand and model number of your laptop? Perhaps there may be another way to turn on/off your wireless other than with the broken key on the keyboard.

The laptop was made in china it doesn't has a name. I have a idea, maybe record the keystoke from other laptop and code a app so it can turn it on. But I don't know how to record keystroke.. It was a old laptop, I checked, there is no other button available.. I noticed the wifi has been disabled after turn off airplane mode,,

Usually, it's when you turn on (instead of off) airplane mode that WiFi also gets turned off.

Here's the whole story. I turn on airplane mode > several minutes later I turn off airplane mode > I noticed my wifi had switched off by windows > I uninstall the driver > I reinstall the driver > Because the wifi adapter is in off condition, Windows can't install the driver > it shows error 51

When I use another hard drive to boot the same laptop my wifi is on. From there I know my wifi receiver still fuctioning. Is there any method to reset or turn on?
I don't have a copy of windows backup so I can't restore it :(

I'm not sure what else you may be able to do if turning off Airplane mode and turning on WiFi above does not work for you to undo the hardware button. :(

I think the only solution is record the keystroke of a laptop during turning on wifi, code the keystroke to app, and it might work.. TT

Go to Device Manager > Network Adapters or Other Devices or wherever > Properties > Details > under property drop down menu, select Hardware IDs > copy, search google, download and install.
You can also try going to Network & Sharing Center > Change Adapter settings > right-click wifi > diagnose or disabling-enabling.

Thanks for your suggestion BUT I told that the driver won't install because the wifi device was turn off..

You can enable it without a driver. It will then try to download the driver.
Also, did you try diagnosing the wifi adapter?

My Computer

You might see if something like this below may be able to record the keystrokes to use to play on your computer.

5.5 How To Record Keystrokes and Play the Sequence Back with a Hot Key
great idea :) I need to borrow my friend's laptop to perform a test.
Does all laptop has the same keystroke to turn on/off wifi?
Can somebody help me test? I can't borrow my friend's laptop this moment..
please help me..

It would need to be the same key strokes that your laptop uses, or it won't work.

Continue to work with what subi54 is suggesting as well. Hopefully, it'll be able to reset it.

The whole situation is like this.
0. I already tried to reset and uninstall and reinstall
1. Driver not install properly because wifi adapter is off
2. If driver is not installed properly, there is no list of your wifi adapter, You can't enable it.
3. I don't have eternet cable

That's one hell of a pickle you got yourself into mate!
You can't even unplug and replug your wifi device.
You'll have to go with recording keystrokes just like @brink suggested.
Can't you take it to your service centre and get them to give you the keystroke sequence from a similar laptop.

My Computer

I can try the keystroke method. But both my friend and I are preparing for exam. I can't borrow from my friend now.
service centre take money or they propably say "that is not possible to do that" before they try it, why not challenge ourself to do it by ourself.
my laptop was broken due to last time I try to open my laptop, there is N screw below the keyboard.
once the keyboard key was open, it can't get back.
