Browser only works when using utorrent

Good morning everyone,

Here is my problem. My web browsers only seem to work when Im downloading something with utorrent. If I stop utorrent from downloading, my browser(chrome) no longer loads a website or loads extremely slow. When Im downloading something on utorrent everything is fine, internet works great. I had to limit the download rate so it doesnt use all my speed though. Its kind of like my internet has to charge up by download on utorrent, then feeds my web browser speed and/or connectivity.

The problem seem to have started when I was using connectify to create a hotspot for my neighbor to use for internet off of me without him connecting directly to my wifi. I have uninstalled connectify, did a dns flush, and did a netsh int ip reset.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi cronus and welcome to Eight Forums,
Its looks like your ISP doesnt like web piracy like utorrent (like me in canada) or you can just try to exit uttorent then restart your router and it should get the problem fixed.

Thanks for your reply midou! I have tried rebooting my router and did a reset of it also. Still browser doesnt work, unless torrent is running. Can a ISP limit my connection to only work with a torrent client? I know the can direct my browser to their page if I dont pay my bill..lol

It sounds like you are hijacked. You really did not need to post the IPconfig info. It has nothing to do with the root cause of your problem. You need to follow the Malware removal steps, to clean your infected machine. There is a good guide over at forums.majorgeeks.com.]
