I have a fresh install of windows 8. Using a Netgear WMA1100 network adapter, with netgear Qwest router. I have the latest drivers from Netgear, and my system says drivers are up to date and everything is working well. Ive even rolled back to two previous versions of the drivers and It still wont connect. I use the WPS connect on the router as soon as my machine communicates with the router it give the BSOD. even when i manually enter the WEP key it shows the BSOD. Please help.My harddrive is partitioned with win 7 and everything works perfect on that side wondering if that makes a difference.

Hey, welcome to the forum.

Let's have a look at your crash dumps. You can follow this thread to post them. It's the easiest way to get them up here, with Win 8 default settings and permissions and all that.

Install the Windows 7 Atheros driver for it from here:

ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows (Atheros?????)

Enjoy.

Code:
1: kd> lmvm athur

It's probably AR9271 but you should check the device manager to be sure.

I would also go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and rename this to .bak then reboot:
