No connections available

On my Toshiba laptop (I've only had it since the 8th of August) under Networks it says, "No connections are available". I was playing Diablo3 and then it suddenly said not connected to battletnet. That is besides the point, but I think I might have hit something that turned the wifi off. After failing to fix it with a system restore it blue screened saying something about an error and collecting a data and that it was going to restart itself. Then it said to get more information or something like that the error code was MEMORY_MANAGEMENT. After restarting I thought it was still messed up (it showed no networks available in the lock screen) then I logged on and it still did. Then it showed I was connected to WiFi again, then after leaving for a few brief minutes it was back to no connections available. It did the blue screen thing again and restarted. Then on my iPad I came to this forum and posting this now... As I wait for it to finish restarting.

Netgear Nighthawk Model 3700. Manufacturer as in Netgear? My router is about a foot away from my laptop. Not wired. Every other device in the household will be connected except my laptop, which, at these times cannot connect to any network, or even see any networks. The laptop is a Satellite/ Satellite Pro C50-B Series. Or atleast thats what the QUICK START guide says on the cover, as well as the sticker on the laptop below the keyboard.

Need the full model number. There are around 20 different units under that series.

Also what are the wireless settings for the router, that you have it set for? If it is set for Wireless-b/g/n mixed & 20/40mhz coexist or Channel Frequency, but do not have any Wireless-G devices in the household. That can be an issue. I stopped using all in one routers/Wireless Access Points, and went with a set alone Wireless A/P. Makes it easier when I need to upgrade.

The Toshiba Satellite's will take the Intel 7260 Dual-Band Wireless-AC mini-PCIe Wireless cards with no problems. To get the full 300mb/s. You will have to add a second antenna under the battery, right above it.

My son was complaining about poor wireless access at his school. So I just went and got him this USB adapter. A6200 | WiFi Adapters | Networking | Home | NETGEAR It comes with a desktop adapter, that you can use "Hook & Loop" to attach the desktop adapter on the top edge of the back of the laptop, to give you longer range.

The great thing about that Netgear adapter, is that it rotates 90 degrees up. so you get better range. I just disabled the on board wifi card, while he is at school. He now gets better range, than he did with the on board Wireless card in his laptop. At home, we have no issues, due to the type of Wireless-A/P we use in the house.
