    Wireless g 2.4ghz 802.11 PCI adapter wmp54g windows 8.1


    I'm trying to get my wireless g 2.4ghz 802.11 PCI adapter wmp54g by linksys to work on windows 8.1 64 bit and I can't seem to get it to work, any ideas? Thank you.

    Try searching for the Ralink RT61 (RT256x/RT266x) driver on Windows 8.1. That has worked for some people. That unit was EOL (End of Life), as of around 2011.

    Sadly this did not work for me and I couldn't find an install anywhere for x64.

    Then you may want to just get a new adapter. There is not much you can do with obsolete hardware.

    The Wireless-n adapters can be bought for $5 these days. You may just want to go that route, than hunt down an outdated driver for an archaic wireless card. The Rosewill cards are decent cards.
