Again, you need to copy the contents from the Command screen and paste it to a post on here. We do not look at third party links for that info.

Go into the router/gateway and make sure it is set for 40mhz Channel Frequency, and that you have the channel set for Primary as 1 & Upper as 5. Channel's 7-11 for some reason do not play nicely with Wireless-n on Windows 8. Also as long as you do not have older devices that only use Wireless-G or B. Set your router to only use Wireless-N.

Also make sure that you have the computer or wireless adapter manufacturer's driver installed, not the one from Microsoft/Windows Update. Those drivers are causing problems with Windows 8.x.x. dropping the connection.

As long as you are not say two floors above the A/P, or it is not buried behind a cabinet or desk (Place it up on top of a desk, or on top of a cabinet to get it high enough for best coverage). Or the building you are in is not constructed of Concrete Blocks or old Plaster walls with a couple of layers of drywall. You should get good signal all of the time.

If it keeps going to limited after making the changes, and making sure you have the OEM driver for the wireless adapter. Then it may be just a router issue.

You can also do the "ipconfig /flushdns" and "netsh winsock reset catalog", to see if that clears things and fixes the connection with the limited connectivity.

Thank you I will try this out. And i do have some b and g devices connected. I was already using the manufacturer drivers for the network adapter, and i just got a new router. And again this only happens on WPA and WPA2 networks
.

It is because of the fact that the router has to operate in the 20mhz Freq. Channel, due to you are using a "mixed" network. I would suggest getting an Access Point for just the Wireless-B & G devices, so you can offload them off of the router, so you can use it exclusively for Wireless-N.

Of course with most routers with embedded Wifi. They are not the greatest and tend to work poorly for most conditions. I got smart and went with one A/P for Wireless-B & G devices, and one for Wireless-N. I use only a Wired router, so no onboard wifi.

Makes it a lot easier when you have to upgrade the router later on.
