Trying to setup WI fi to my new computer (HP Pavilion) I have never had a new system NOT recognize my wi fi connection...so I tried to manually set up the connection but now my connection is very slow so I did a trouble shoot on the connection and the error message was "Your computer appears to be correctly configured, device or resource DNS server is not responding. So I googled to find out what this meant and one of the answers was to Right click on the Local Area Connection and thats when I noticed it was missing. so I'm trying to mirror what my old laptop has (running Windows 7) but now I'm stuck can someone PLEASE help me...

If you are in Metro, it will not show. In Desktop mode, you have to "Customize" to show the Networking icon. It will only switch to Wifi, once you disconnect from Ethernet and connect to a Wifi Access Point.
