I have a problem in Windows 8.1. Despite not being joined to any homegroups, my Windows explorer folders repeatedly revert to the homegroup screen and display a message "No other homegroup PCs are currently available." To return to my working folder/directory, I have to hit the back button. If I copy and paste between two folders, both revert to the homegroup screen as soon as the pasting operation is complete.
I have network discovery off, I've disabled the homegroup services (both listener and provider), and even managed to remove the homegroup icon from my explorer navigation pane (by deleting a registry entry), but to no avail. Still, my folders continually revert to this navigation page.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, this is driving me crazy as I have to copy and paste from folders on a regular basis. It's so annoying to lose those directories over and over and over...
Thanks,
Chris
