    No Wifi after standby

After my laptop wakes from standby, wifi will detect no networks. Turning wifi off/on via harware switch on laptop does not help. I need to perform a reboot to get wifi to work again. Laptop is S10-3t with a Broadcom wifi card. It worked fine in Win7. Any idea how could I fix that? I have installed official drivers from lenovo's website, but it's same issue.

If Atheros based WLAN, install Windows 7 driver from here: ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows (Atheros?????)

If Intel, visit their site instead.

Instead of rebooting, right click on the wireless icon and launch the troubleshooter and let it repair issues.

I have this problem too, and this seemed to help.

And that's precisely why I offer a better alternative. The manufacturer (Intel, Atheros, Broadcom, VIA, Realtek) may have a more up to date driver. I would hope so because I am seeing driver state power failures from others who have installed wireless drivers from the laptop vendors, on 8.

If not, you can always Google hunt for a laptop or other model with your same hardware id for wireless. Then visit that laptop maker and see if they have a newer driver to install.

I had this problem, still do sorta.
Initially after I installed CP, everything was fine at first but a day later when I installed the Windows Updates, my Wifi would only work for a few minutes at a time. I had to keep running the Troubleshooter.
I eventually installed newer drivers and the problem went away.

However, some updates installed today and when my computer goes to sleep or standby I have a Limited Connection afterwards. I have to run the troubleshooter to repair it and then things are fine.

Im going to delete the adapter and then reinstall the drivers and see if this helps.

Unfortunately, even after installing new drivers I still have to run the Troubleshooter to fix it after Standby/Sleep. I dont know why it happened suddenly when it was working fine before for days. I thought it might be one of the Windows Updates but im not sure.

My WLAN card is from Broadcom and I cannot find drivers on their site.

Troubleshooting does solve the problem, but it's tedious to run it after (almost) any wake up.

Right click on it in device manager, properties then details tab. Change the dropdown to say hardware ids. Then copy/paste the results below to here.

Are you using x86 or x64?
