Windows 8.1 deleting wireless adapters

I'm using a relatively new HP Split X2 (bought new in Dec.), and almost every day I lose internet connection due to wireless adapters being missing. I have only been using the computer to watch Netflix and listen to music. Usually the internet disconnects in the middle of an episode on Netflix, and after being on hold with HP for over an hour tonight I'm hoping for another alternative to fix the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

It's possible that drivers are being updated to some wrong version that would not "take". Stop automatic updates for awhile and see what happens. I had same problem with a TV card and some other stuff because of that.
