Have internet but DNS server is not responding

Previously I made a thread t hat when I sometimes load 2-3 tabs or more, I get page cannot be displayed and I have to refresh each of them until they load, it's like the traffic isn't enough to load several tabs at a time.. Either way troubleshooting gives me this:

Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding

In Sharing Center > click the wifi info > Properties > Networking > TCP/IPv4 Properties > All set to automatically detect, even if I inserted the DNS addresses above into manually in IPv4...

In properties I see the same being set, no mismatching DNS servers..

Most operating systems and DNS clients will automatically cache IP Addresses and other DNS results, this is done in order to speed up subsequent requests to the same hostname. Sometimes bad results will be cached and therefore need to be cleared from the cache in order for you to communicate with the host correctly. All major operating systems allow you to force this process, outlined below are the common steps you will need to follow in order to flush your DNS cache.

You might try going through the steps listed in the following link if the DNS adjustments aren't working. It sounds like the router may have a problem so resetting it may help.

"Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding" error message in Windows 7

If you are using Internet Explorer then you could try resetting the browser via the Internet Tool's/Options upper right > advanced tab.

I am not sure DNS server issue is related to pages not loading well or at all having to refresh them

Which is precisely the reason why I posted instructions on how to reset Internet Explorer? Or did you not see that?

I also pointed out that resetting the router should be done first.

Neither of these have anything to do with DNS being the problem. They are alternate solutions to a problem which appears to be related to the DNS.

If these fixes do not work then please post a screen shot of the ipconfig/all from this machine.

    Hello Emtr,

In addition, this may be a temporary issue with your ISP's DNS server. As a test, you might see how using Google Public DNS may work.
