That's what I've been doing, but it always gets to 20% and then says it couldn't be downloaded.

By the way, my USB that I'm using for wireless internet is Ranlink 802.11n wireless USB and my operating system is Windows 8.1. After a quick search I got results saying that this device isn't compatible with Windows 8.1 yet, but there might be drivers to download somewhere that can help.

I accidently marked this as solved and it's not.

So I did the CMD thing and it completed. The unfortunate part is that it didn't work. I saw some other posts about changing the drivers from Microsoft to Ralink through Device Manager, but im talking with Panda Wireless (The makers of this) to get it solved.

If you completed the DISM repair then you would usually need to go back and complete the sfc scan in order to complete the system file repairs. After that is when we run the network stack repair.

If you can give me the model number of the Panda wireless device I can try to find a driver.

Mine is a PAUD5 which is the exact one on their website of Panda Wireless. I've downloaded the latest driver, but whenever I restart the computer the USB fails to load. Then its a hassle making it work again.

There is about a million other USB wireless NIC's that do work with 8.1 for around 10 bucks.

This one has no 8.1 drivers that I can find anywhere, assuming the drivers are the problem and not the failed system file integrity scan's.

No offense, but saying that doesn't help this situation.

The fortunate part about this is that I've managed to get a download from their website that basically unistalls the profile and reinstall it. Still doesn't fix the problem immediately, but now I can at least put the computer to sleep and the Wifi will still be on. If I restart the computer the Wifi turns back off and gives me the error "This device cannot start {code 10}" or something similar. So I just put the computer to sleep.
