No internet through ethernet after installing Bluetooth

I just installed an Asus USB-BT400 Bluetooth 4.0 dongle, but doing so caused my ethernet connection to no longer connect to the internet. I am connected to the network, just not the internet. Running the built-in troubleshooter does not fix the problem, but reports that "Ethernet does not have a valid IP configuration". I verified that it is set to obtain an IP address automatically, but the problem is there.

Any thoughts on how I can fix this problem? Thank you!

This problem has randomly reappeared. I'm not sure what's causing it, but it's very frustrating.

See if the driver is the Microsoft one. If it is. Go and download the Asus driver. There has been issues with the Windows 8.x.x drivers from Microsoft causing these kinds of issues.
