I have a new windows 8 machine (Dell Inspiron 2350), and there is a problem with the WIFI keeps disconnecting. I have determined that it seems to primarily happen whenever I am downloading any large files. When the computer is sitting idle or I am just browsing it doesn't seem to happen.
I do not have any such issue with my Windows 7 laptop or mobile devices.

I have already tried all the suggestions found elsewhere about changing the power management settings, and have already disabled "allow computer to turn off this device to save power".

I already have the latest driver, and have updated the bios.

Hi Snake,

Try to follow this guide.
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings
then "changed advanced power settings" and select Wireless adapter and put it to maximum performance.
I hope this will fix it.

Try to find any other driver (version) than what is presently installed for your card. Sometimes that is all it takes.
