I have my ethernet cable connected right now, but I can't even load my wifi connections at all. I live in apartments so everyone around me has wifi and my phone and iPad is clearly connected, but it won't load any connections, help. Please.

Hi Kvalle,
running 8.1 on asus laptop,
Came preloaded with both MS generic & Ralink wifi drivers, the issue i have is that if i try to run with the ralink drivers no wifi connections are found
BUT
if i rollback to the generic MS drivers hey presto up up and away.
So pop into
ControlPanel>deviceManager>networkAdapters>WirelessLancard>Right click>properties>driver, and if your not greyed-out roll back to MS generic.
