I was testing out Windows 8's remote desktop connection and ran into the basic problem that my little craptop pinched and shrunk all my window size settings on the actual desktop pc. Kind of frustrating since I had everything just so. Now I'm sure in past versions you could choose to pan and scan across the whole resolution without disturbing anything. If that setting still exists, it must be buried. Can anyone think of a way to enable this?
In Metro you can right click the remote computer thumbnail and choose edit.. then indicate whether network speed determines a "high quality" display connection or if you want to force it. That is it as far as I found.
