So we recently redid our networking in our house, changing from two different connections to one that has multiple access points. But ever since we changed I haven't been able to access any site other than google on my windows 8 laptop, for the most part. I have found some sites I can get on by going to subpages, but I believe there have only been two of those. I flushed my DNS cache and still the problem persisted. But I have a feeling it has to do with DNS because on another forum... (Though it was for XP) someone said to tell if it is a DNS problem you can type "ping ?.44.1" ( I forgot the first digit) ?.44.2, ?.44.3 and ?.44.4 and if they ping then it isn't a DNS problem... But they didn't ping. For the most part I have no idea what I'm doing and any help is appreciated. thanks!

What are you using for DNS servers. What is the mfg & model of the router? Are you using any third party Internet Security Software?

When you set up those access points, did you turn off DHCP on them so that only the gateway router is handing out IP's with a common DNS server?

It's also required to plug the LAN port cable from the first router into the LAN port on the A/P's, don't use the WAN or internet ports on the A/P's.
