All my bandwidth is being used and I don't know why

Earlier today, the quality of my internet connection dropped suddenly. Then, I checked my Task Manager and it says I'm downloading constantly at 2.1 Mbps, what is basically all the bandwidth I have. Then, I check the Resource Monitor and it only reports the use of some bytes per second of bandwidth.

I have already disabled Windows Update because I thought it could be downloading updates, but I still have the same bandwidth usage.

    Look at the screeshot:

If some program is not updating or OneDrive synching you may have some malware, which AV or other security programs do you have ?

I don't even have any cloud storage service installed here. Besides Windows' default security features, I'm only running AVG Free Edition 2014 as AV.

Anyway, today, the bandwidth usage is magically back to normal.

Have a look at your Router logs. Could be someone else is accessing your wi-fi.
Check also that there's no torrent processes running (seeding for example).

Check also your MOBILE PHONE isn't doing a lot of updates - switch off automatic application updates - especially things like News services and social media networks.

People often FORGET that mobile phones these days are quite large consumers of Internet services (and tablets as well if you have any).

Otherwise just block everything going out and see if anything is trying to connect.
