Ok. I see. Do they all have 8.1 and using the same browser?

This is interesting. I have a Verizon 4G Mobile Hotspot for internet service and the same thing happens to me. I have 8.1 Pro installed on my PC with Comodo Dragon as my main web browser and certain websites will stop suddenly stop loading, but when I switch to IE the same website will load just fine. And the funny thing is, after it loads in IE then it will suddenly work again in Comodo Dragon. It is irritating to say the least, but since I can get it working again in short order I have learned to just live with. All in all 4G is very fast, especially in my rural area, which doesn't have much for ISP's other than satellite.

Well there's my forum friend now. Glad you piped in, LJ. Yes 4G is fast. Use it myself on my phone at times.

I had an inkling it may be a browser problem, but that it was IE11 being new.

Hi HG. I don't know if its a browser specific problem or not. Maybe if I was running IE as my main browser the same thing would happen. I might just try and see what happens. BTW it also happens with Windows 7 as well. I have 7 and 8 installed on separate SSD's and alternate between them.

For me it has nothing to do with the browser. I have Chrome, Firefox, IE and Opera on this Windows 8.1 desktop, and when I can't access a site it doesn't matter what browser I use. The strange thing is that if I jump on my laptop running Windows 7 ON THE SAME NETWORK I can load the problem site just fine. Same thing if I pull out my ipad - it loads just fine. And if I reboot this Windows 8.1 machine all of a sudden I can connect just fine too. W-T-F.

I'm pulling my hair out over this one. Fortunately none of the sites I frequent seem to be affected, aside from Facebook, but I have to get to the bottom of this. If one day out of the blue I start having problems connecting to my own servers, etc. I'm screwed.

We’ll have to see what the OP posts, but I was thinking since IE 11 is so new that a lot of sites haven’t caught up with it, therefore hard to open or not at all.

Ok, so it's machine specific. This is indeed strange since it doesn't happen all the time.

Yes there are 10's of 1,000's of people complaining online about their provider services. See my statement in post #4.
There are NOT 10s of 1000s of people with Verizon Home Fusion service complaining about this problem.

People complaining about other Internet service providers are completely irrelevant to this discussion.

Sorry but I don't think you understand anything I'm saying ...

    Yeah, totally. I haven't had a virus/malware in 15 years.
