Wireless and wired network 'limited' after sleep mode

    Hello,

Since a few weeks, I have a problem with my laptop running W8.1 (Toshiba Satellite P50-A-12PBE). Sometimes, after bringing Windows back from sleep mode, I seem to have no connection to the internet. Windows says the connection is 'limited', wether I'm connected with a wire or wireless. Resetting the router doesn't solve anything, but rebooting my pc does.
Since both the wired and wireless network are always simultaneously affected, I think this hasn't anything to do with drivers (I already have the latest versions by the way).
As suggested in the topic with tips, I have made screenshots with ipconfig-results when I'm connected with a wire.

When there is no problem, it looks like this:

And when the problem occurs, it looks like this:

I see there is a difference, but I'm not a enxpert at this, so it would be awesome if one of you could help me with this.
    Thanks in advance!

    Jeroen

You did not need to post the two command window shots. This is common when coming from Sleep state with Windows. The OS has to wake up the various devices out of their sleep state. Think of it like trying to get a bunch of people up in your household. It takes time for each one to get up. Same thing happens in Windows.

This has been known since XP SP3 came out. Never will know if MS will fix it in 9.

Hmm okay, that sucks... But it only appeared recently, so that's kinda strange...

Anyway, is there a way to solve this without rebooting my laptop?

Do not use Sleep mode. Just shut down the unit when not using.

I put my laptop in sleep mode about 10 times a day i think, I don't think it would be good if i rebooted it 10 times a day then, would it?

If all you are doing is walking away from it to do something, just let it run. End of the day shut down, or shut down when leaving for a long period.

You can also try reinstalling the drivers for the devices that are not waking up. Also check that they are not set to shut down when in sleep. That you would have to go into Power States.

Only when on battery power, do you want it to go into a sleep state.

My laptop is more in sleep mode than it is awake. I already shut it down for the night, but during day, I just put it in sleep mode.
I already reinstalled the drivers, it didn't change anything. How do you change it that the devices do not shut down when in sleep mode?

If you are not placing it into a bag to go places, just let it run. As for the drivers, make sure they are not the Microsoft drivers, but from the laptop mfg website or chipset mfg website.

You have to go into Device Manager to tell the device in the Power Mgmt tab, by not going into a sleep state, by unchecking the box.

Also a lot depends on the router. If the router is not seeing that device, it places its IP & MAC in the ARP table, into a state of offline. Until the device pings the router, or the router pings the device. You will get a limited state.

I will just left click on the device in the Task area, turn it off in the pop-up bar, then turn it back on and let it find the A/P. That usually clears it.

If it does not, then you have to do the following (w/o quotes): "ipconfig /flushdns" & "netsh winsock reset catalog".
