How to use to usb data cards in windows 8 laptop

I tried posting on this forum previously. I have been referred from drivers & hardware forum. Hence I am trying to repost here.

Pls. tell me if there is any way of running two 2g USB datacards in windows 8. If so, will it be better to use same or different networks.

That would not be a problem Antspants. They would just need enough ports or a hub, to use more then one. But of course you are talking about two posts that have very little information, as to what they are really wanting to do.

OK, I was under the impression Emma was hoping by using to USB network Dongles the internet would work twice as fast, or at least faster.

Yes, I am under that impression that the total speed of internet access will increase (I can use 2g data cards only ). Pls. correct me if I am wrong.

Actually it would not. The OS would use one or the other dongle, not both at the same time.

Agreed no way will this work.

It's called internet teaming and it's not possible with anything less than Windows server software using a managed switch and it works with Gb Ethernet connections only.

If you want faster wireless these days you have the option or using the new wireless AC but you need the router and the PCI/E or USB AC adaptors, not to mention there are many older wireless N NIC's that won't hold a stable connection to AC routers.

Yes wireless AC can be as fast as Gb connections but it isn't cheap.

Actually windows 8 has NIC Teaming/LBFO already. See NIC Teaming in Windows 8 & Hyper-V | Working Hard In IT The catch is as Chev stated, is that you have to have a Server OS doing it.

So is there no way that I can use two 2G connections together to obtain better speed ... ?

As we have already stated. You would have to use Linux or Windows Server software.
