Wireless music transfer to Windows Phone

Hi there!

I'm currently considering getting a Windows Phone 8 (in place of my Galaxy S3) because i heard good things about it like build quality, great battery life (most of them anyway), smooth & very easy to use interface and amazing cameras.

I have been an Android user for more than 4 years now and the good thing about the Android OS is the openness, customization and flexibility of it.

I like listening to my music on my daily commute and when travelling. But what i want to ask is: Is there a way or an app that will enable to me hassle-free wireless transfer of music files (or photos) from my PC to my Windows Phone 8?

I mostly have .mp3 and some Flac files.

Any advice guys?

Please help. Thanks.

This is very easy to do with the Windows phone.

Once you have it plugged into the little USB charger attached to your PC you can access the phone's file system by clicking on "this PC" via the network file icon. The music apps are easy enough to find as well.

I have the Lumina 520.

This app you just install. And then you can listen to many channels ranging from french chansons to Jazz, Motown, International hits of the 80s, etc. A really nice music app.

Have a look at the link that I gave you in post #2 - is that the kind of apps you are looking for.

That is not the type of app I'm looking for I'm afraid

You do not need an app for moving files on an off your phone but the Windows phone app makes it easier.

Just plug into the USB charger to your Windows Phone then go to Network Folder then to This PC, your phone will appear there but you can also install the Windows Phone App to make moving those files easier.

I guess this would be a wired solution but that is how this phone is set up. For wireless transfer of files you might try using OneDrive for that, moving files to OneDrive then onto your phone wirelessly.
